Successful Work Day - March 13

E-mail Print PDF
Thanks to all for your efforts on Saturday, March 13th's, work day.

Twenty-five to thirty people helped out throughout the day and a lot was accomplished.  The park was cleaned on the inside and on the outer perimeter.  The gazebo area and the front entrance were both cleaned out and swept. What seemed like hundreds of wheel barrels of mulch were moved in the big and small dog park areas.

Great job to all!!

Work Day - Saturday, March 13

E-mail Print PDF

Our next work day at the dog park is scheduled for Saturday, March 13th, from 9:00am until 12:00pm (weather permitting).

As with all of our work days, we need volunteers for the following tasks:

  • General cleaning - pick up trash and anything else that shouldn't be left laying around inside and around the park
  • Mulch Moving - Move mulch from the large mulch mountains over to where we need ground cover
  • Weed and brush removal - things that fall from the trees and isolated weeds that have grown up need to be removed
  • Remove excess mulch from gate leading into the shelter

If you can spare some time and labor to help us keep the park in good repair, we would really appreciate it. One of the things we really need during the work day is more wheelbarrows. If you have one you can bring for the work day to help move mulch, it would be a tremendous help.

Whether you can work the entire three hours or for just a few minutes, we can use your help!

If your schedule permits, we hope to see you there!

POSTPONED - Work Day February 6

The scheduled work day on Saturday (February 6) has been canceled.  With the recent snow and the expected rain, we feel it will be too wet to work.

Please check back for the rescheduled date.
