If you visit Millbrook Exchange Park often, you are probably aware that speed bumps were installed not too long ago. In the past year, speed limit signs have also been installed (You are aware the speed limit in the park is 15 miles-per-hour, aren't you?) All of these measures have been introduced to slow traffic as the park has become more busy. Unfortunately, these speed control measures haven't been adoped by many park visitors. In some cases, the No Parking signs have also been ignored on a regular basis.
We've been informed by the Parks & Recreation staff to please be aware of an increasing police presence within the park. If you do not heed the speed limit or if you do not park in designated parking areas, the police will soon begin issuing citations.
Please watch your speed! There are many people crossing the streets and walking around the parking areas as the spring programs begin at the park. The swimming pool is open year-round, baseball and softball games are starting, playground attendance is increasing, and more people (and dogs) are coming to the dog park. Please slow down when you drive through the park.
